The poster shows Santa Claus with a red cap and holly in his hair, looking at a baby on his left shoulder. Remarkable about this Christmas picture is that both Santa and the baby are so carefully portrayed. Santa is a very old man, with an intricate network of wrinkles and eyes that seem to have lost their brightness, perhaps due to cataracts. The baby is also faithfully depicted, (maybe a little too stereotypically cute with clear blue eyes and golden curls), but the contrast between the very old and the very young is rather moving. Another thing that I like about this picture is that Santa and the baby seems to be sharing a moment of fun, while the baby is examining the some strands of Santa's enormous beard.
